Men's Ministry Opportunities for men to come together in prayer, LifeGroups, service, outreach activities and periodic breakfast meetings for inspiration and fellowship. The Purpose of the CHCC's Men's Ministry is to fulfill the great Commission and great Commandment in the lives of the men of Canyon Hills Community Church; through reaching the lost and equipping the saints as mature men of God, and insuring that the body of Christ at CHCC has mature, godly leadership. The Vision of Canyon Hills Men's ministry is to provide an open environment where men may be engaged and enriched through meaningful Christ-like relationships with one another; strengthening and restoring men's hearts to God; equipping them to stand strong for their families and their faith; and willingly deployed as His servants to change their community and world through the power, grace and purpose of Jesus Christ. MEN'S MINISTRY GOALS AND CORE VALUES Great Commandment: To glorify the Lord in everything we do, seeking to please Him first and foremost. To display unconditional love for each other, reaching out to include all men. Great Commission: To ask for, encourage and expect the active participation of all men within CHCC. To reach beyond our own doors to welcome in the "lost." To provide an environment where each man is encouraged and supported to apply their God-given talents and spiritual gifts in service to the Lord's work. Sound Teaching: To provide solid biblical teaching and develop wise and disciplined disciples of Christ Jesus. To be known for the development of strong godly leaders who boldly and courageously influence their church, families, communities, and the world. THE STRATEGY - MEN PURSUING GOD'S BEST Identify, equip and empower men within the church to train up other men to pursue God's best for their lives, their families and our church. "You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Jesus Christ. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others."  1 Timothy 2:2-1 FOUR LEVELS OF TRAINING: Men's Discipleship:  We will be guided through the basic principles of becoming a man of God. The format is a short, large-group teaching time followed by round-table discussion. The discussion groups would stay the same each week and become small "discipleship groups." Men's Coaching: "Successful Living" Using the "Successful Living" men's one-on-one coaching system, men will be challenged to participate in a year-long mentorship with a "life coach."  The assigned "life-coach" will guide the participant in completing a "Successful Living Success Plan" for their life. Elder, Deacon, Pastor Training: "Man University" Using the CHCC "Man University" curriculum, these selected men will be guided through specific training to prepare them to be considered for the offices of elder, deacon, or pastor. Internship Program: "Vocational Ministry Training" Selected men (whom the leadership of Canyon Hills feel are called to the ministry) will enter an Internship Program in a selected area of ministry for intensive vocational ministry training.
