PFC Namibia Trip

Greetings from Namibia

Hi,

Our trip was very long and tiring, but we have pretty much bounced back. GVT had one bag left in London which should arrive in a day or two. Today, Thursday, we held services for both the men and women at Windhoek Central prison. It is Namibia's maximum security prison. In the afternoon we met the Deputy Commissioner of Prisons for Namibia. He was so receptive and expressed that he knew the only way these people would change was through a relationship with Jesus Christ. The team prayed with him before we left and blessed him tremendously. The Head Chaplain for Namibia is going to be traveling with us throughout our time here. She is also a very wonderful lady and strong Christian.

The men's service this morning had an attendance of about 60 men with 23 or so accepting the Lord. Most of the women in that service were already Christians so not a real response to the altar call, but we did have the privilege of praying with several of them for healing and encouragement. Also spent a moment blessing the babies in prayer. One especially needed prayer as she got sick during our service.

Weather during the day is very nice, in the 70's, but it does cool down significantly during the evenings and at night. Some have wished they had warmer jackets along. Fortunately the girls have received warm coats from our contacts here, Hank and Joyce Schauer. It has been great getting to know them better as well and see what a great ministry they have to the youth of Namibia.

Please continue to pray for health, safety, and most of all open doors to the prisons. Also for receptive hearts among the inmates. So far we are all doing quite well health wise and the roads are very good here. More as we have a chance. Thank you all for the prayers and for your generous support in getting us here. God is doing a great work here and you are a part of it. The world will become a better place as a result. Blessings to all Carol and Brent and the PFC team.
