Missionary Organization: Prisoner's for Christ
Location: Burkina Faso
Website: www.pfcom.org
Ministry Details: "I am thankful to God for choosing me to help many people in prison... and to share the word of God by personal evangelism." Abel has served as a jail chaplain since 1987, first in Bobo-Dioulasso and then at Ouagadougou from 2001 to present. Prayer, according to Abel is his strongest area of leadership, followed by evangelism, and teaching. When asked about the primary needs of his ministry, he explained he would very much like to have "the support of a Prayer Team," so that he would be able to "involve himself more in full-time service in prison." After being involved in prison ministry for 20 years without the help of a larger prison ministry organization, he is especially excited to have connected with a group like Prisoners for Christ.
