Frequently Asked Questions
IT CAN BE CHALLENGING TO VISIT A NEW CHURCH. We’d like to make your visit as comfortable as possible and enjoyable for you and your kids. If you don’t find your answers here, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What do we need to do for our first visit?
When you arrive, just come to the Kids Check-In counter in the West Lobby and one of our volunteers will get you checked in! Later, you can come to the same counter and update information, photos, let us know about allergies or even authorize another person to pick up your children. For a faster check-in process, you can complete a Guest Registration form at home, print it out and bring it with you! CLICK HERE for the form.
How will you handle my child’s allergies?
As you register your child, please note any allergy so that it will appear on both your child’s name tag and the teachers copy of the check-in slip. Simple snacks (fishy crackers, animal crackers or raisins) are provided in the classroom unless allergy is noted. In case of allergy to these snacks, parents are invited to provide an alternative.
What if my child is sick?
Please help the children, their families and our staff stay healthy. We ask that you keep your child with you in the church service or at home if they have any of the following symptoms or illnesses: fever, runny nose, rashes, coughing, diarrhea; or contagious illnesses such as: chicken pox, measles, mumps, pink eye.
What curriculum do you use?
In our Children’s Ministry, we use “The Gospel Project.” CLICK HERE for more info on the curriculum.
Can I visit my child’s classroom on our first time?
Yes. Parents are welcome to come in for a few minutes to help children feel comfortable on their first visit. If you want to stay for the entire service, we can provide you with a visitor name tag and will be happy to answer any of your questions. All of our classrooms have viewing windows in case you ever want to stop by and check on your child.
What are the steps to dedicate my baby?
We do all baby dedications in Life Groups. Email email@example.com for more info.
Who will be in the classroom with my child?
All of our volunteers attend CHCC and have completed an application, background check and reference review. In addition, we have a ‘two adult’ policy that provides a minimum of at least 2 adults in each classroom so that no one is alone with children.
