Since 1990, Canyon Hills Biblical Counseling Ministry has walked beside thousands, who, for one reason or another, have suffered. Time and time again, we have seen God heal the broken, free the captive, and comfort the grieving as we faithfully minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Canyon Hills Counseling Ministry exists to make more and better disciples of Jesus by compassionately offering help and hope to those who are suffering.
In today’s complex world, filled with suffering and sin, God’s practical counsel is desperately needed. There is tremendous hope in the fact that God has provided His Word, the Bible, to give answers for life’s problems and questions. God says that He has provided everything necessary for a person to know Him and live in a way that pleases Him. God promises to help and bless those who obey His instructions in the Bible. Therefore, the one who seeks after and follows God’s answers for life can have great hope, contentment, and direction to handle all of the pressures of life.
Hope Groups exist to bring hope to those who are suffering due to choices that they have made or due to to the choices that someone else close to them has made. Unlike individual counseling which often has a waitlist and requires church attendance at Canyon Hills, the HOPE Groups offer immediate help in specific areas and are open to anyone regardless of church attendance.
Teenagers spend hundreds of hours preparing to drive a car. Young recruits spends months preparing to be soldiers. If driving and the military require months of preparation, how much more should a couple considering marriage prepare for one of the most important decisions that they will ever make. Canyon Hills Community Church places a high value on pre-marriage counseling and will not allow any pastors of the church to perform a wedding unless the couple has completed pre-marriage counseling that is exhaustive and rigorous.
Canyon Hills Community Church is not only committed to counseling the body of Christ, but our commitment is also towards equipping the body of Christ to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11). Counseling those who are in sin and suffering demands the best training that biblical counseling has to offer. We offer yearly classes and more to help train up biblical counselors.
The Damascus House is a non-profit, Gospel-centered, drug and alcohol discipleship ministry with programs for Men and for Women. Our heart-focused discipleship model teaches drug- and alcohol- dependent men and women the life-changing truth of the Gospel. Occupants will learn what it means to leave the old self behind (Ephesians 4:22), to renew their minds on God’s Word (Ephesians 4:23) and how to truly live a Christ-like life that brings honor and glory to God (Ephesians 4:24, 1 Corinthians 10:31).
