Counseling Symposium
This is an annual educational symposium, held each fall with a focus on a specific area of training, held at Canyon Hills. Check back here for info on our 2022 Counseling Symposium.
Upcoming Training Opportunities
- Fundamentals – 40 hours of foundational training in a weekly class format that will count toward Phase 1 of ACBC Certification but is truly beneficial to anyone who is seeking to learn how they can minister (formally or informally) using God’s Word to those He has placed in their lives. This will be a two-part/quarter class. Please note: by registering for this class, you are signing up for both quarters.
Part 1: Every Thursday, September 16-November 18, 6:30PM-8:30PM
Part 2: Every Thursday, January 13-March 17, 6:30PM-8:30PM This class is being offered both in-person and online.Instructor: Ben Marshall, D.Ed.Min
Cost: $50 Click HERE to register for Fundamentals. - Observations – Observing 10 sessions of counseling from an ACBC certified counselor each week via video, followed by participating in a discussion with practical application of resources. This will also count towards Phase 1 of ACBC Certification. This class will take place Thursday evenings, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM, in person ONLY. This 10-week course begins March 31st, taught by Dr. Ben Marshall. Cost: $30 Click HERE to register.
