TRANSCRIPT: “At the time of Paul’s letter to the Ephesian Christians, there was a growing hostility in the city toward Christianity and the church. Yet when you read through this book of Ephesians, you see that Paul refuses to let them wallow. He refuses to let them moan in the godlessness of their context. Neither does he encourage them to isolate, to just go away and form some Christian commune somewhere. Not at all. Instead, in this letter, he gives them a vision for something far greater than the stuff they’re going through and the things with which they’re struggling.“
