Help House a Resident
One of the biggest hurdles is the cost of living in our area. We’re looking for those of you who have the ability to host a resident for little or no cost. By doing so, you’ll provide for one of their greatest needs in that season of life. You don’t have to be a biblical scholar to join us in preparing a resident for full-time ministry. You can impact their future just by offering the space you have and a glimpse into your walk with Christ.

We onboard new Residents throughout the year. Our Residents Pastor will coordinate with you when a wise start time would be.
This is a 24-month program. 18 months into the program, residents may begin applying for jobs at other churches.
Approximately 25 hours per week. We ask that this be your primary focus as you are preparing for ministry, though you can have outside employment.
Yes. You will receive a stipend based on a 25 hour work week.
Canyon Hills will work to provide housing for residents through hosts who are members of our church.
Yes. We have ministry on and off our main campus, so there will be times where you will need to provide your own transportation.
We do not offer visas to foreign applicants. If you already have an appropriate work visa, we would be happy to talk with you.
With church ministry, schedules change on a week-to-week basis, so a second job with a regular schedule would be very difficult for you in this program. We don’t want you to burnout and we believe that additional work could cause that for you. That being said, if you are able to find a flexible job that works within your ministry schedule, great.
No. We will help you and equip you to be able to find ministry work after this program, but we cannot guarantee a job within or outside of Canyon Hills Community Church.
Yes. We welcome married residents.
