Join us as we study Matthew 10 & 11 to discover Jesus’ effective gospel witness in a culture that opposes Christianity. Our guest speaker, Susie Rowan, will share how Jesus sends out the disciples on their first mission which is anything but comfortable. Come learn how Jesus ministers to us in hard places while we become equipped to move out of our comfort zones to effectively minister to those around us.

Doors open at 9:30am. We will have a morning and afternoon session with Susie Rowan that will include a powerful time of worship and group discussion. You will also have the option to choose from two breakout sessions with guest speakers from Canyon Hills Women’s Ministry. Boxed lunches with Turkey or Club sandwiches will be provided as well as coffee and pastries to start the day. (gluten free options are also available.) Conference is for ages 18+.
Susie Rowan is a ministry leader, Bible teacher & attorney. Beginning in 1983, Susie & her husband Roger began serving in various leadership capacities in both their local church & BSF classes. In 1995, following the Lord’s call, they served as international class planters for BSF, living 6 years in Brazil & 2 1/2 years in India. In 2009, Susie began serving as BSF’s Executive Director/CEO. During her 12 years leading BSF the ministry grew exponentially. Since her retirement from BSF in 2021, Susie teaches the Bible in Kansas City, speaks at women’s events in churches & serves on several boards throughout the U.S. Susie & her husband Roger are in their 50th year of marriage, enjoy golfing & family activities with their 2 children & 4 grandchildren.

Dixie has been married 18 years to Brian, is a mom to three high schoolers, & has been a business owner in coporate leadership for many years. Join her as she shares how to be a witness in the workplace by understanding scripture, looking at Biblical examples, & sharing personal experience.
Aside from being actively involved in serving in Children’s & Women’s Ministry, Jessie was previously a substitute teaching leader at Bible Study Fellowship. She & her husband Jeremy have three adult sons (whom they homeschooled), a daughter-in-law, & a grandson. Join her to learn how to spend quiet time with Jesus in a world full of distractions.
Cindy & her husband, Dustin, have raised their four children here at Canyon Hills. She leads a prayer group called “Waiting in Hope”, loves teaching Sunday School, serving in Women’s Ministry, and coming alongside and serving the Damascus House ministry. Join her to learn practical tools for prayer & how to cling to Jesus & his unchanging promises in all circumstances.
Susy was raised in Guadalajara, Mexico & moved to the US 34 years ago after marrying her husband, Lenny. They spent 9 years as missionaries in Chile while homeschooling their four kids. She led a Spanish-speaking BSF class & now serves in the Hispanic-Translation Ministry & with Women’s Ministry. Join her to learn about sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in our everyday life.
